All you savvy Maui real estate buyers who are keeping an eye on our market trends may want to take a look at the June statistics from the Realtors Association of Maui (RAM) monthly report, which was recently released. You can study the details at www.ramaui.com, but in the meantime, here are the highlights.
The median sales price of a single-family home in Maui County increased by 1.1 percent from $650,000 in June of last year to $657,000 last June. That was based on a total of 96 homes sold, which was a 5 percent drop from the 101 homes that sold in June of 2015.
Meanwhile, Maui condos saw a substantial median sales price increase of 8.2 percent to $384,000, up from $355,000 in June of 2015. Unlike the Maui home sale decrease, the number of Maui condos sold increased by no less than 11 percent to 110 units sold, compared with 99 the same month last year.
The market report from RAM is full of clearly presented data for you to study, if you want more details about these trends. If you’re interested in comparing West Maui real estate to different regions of Maui based on prices and number of units sold, you could have a field day with their monthly report. RAM Chief Staff Executive Terry Tolman also includes a handy intro section of the report where he provides advice for buyers and sellers alike.
