Exciting news for all winter-weary Mainlanders: now’s your chance to come and own your very own piece of Maui!
The Whaler Time Interval offers you and yours the chance to experience all the best that Maui has to offer—and without the inflated prices of other time intervals. Located in the heart of the world-famous Ka’anapali Resort, the Whaler Time Interval program stands apart not only for its prime location but also for its unique features: units are available in both fee-simple and leasehold configurations for two and three-week intervals and come with deeded ownership and fixed-time availability year after year. Each unit itself is divided into 25 intervals throughout the year, ranging from A through Z, with one week dedicated to service and maintenance. Intervals B through Z offer two weeks of occupancy, and interval A spans three weeks from mid-December into January.
Nearly all the time interval units have been extensively remodeled since 2013, with one-bedroom units featuring a King size bed and Queen sleeper sofa, whereas the studios make elegant use of a wall-mounted King-size Murphy bed and extra wide single bed/chair combination. Each unit boasts the very best in upscale furnishings and features, not to mention sweeping views of the surrounding ocean and scenery.
All that and we haven’t even gotten to the onsite amenities yet! There’s a salon and spa located on the main floor, along with an oceanside pool and hot tub to melt away all your stressors. And as if all that wasn’t enough, the Whaler has achieved a Premier Resort rating by Interval International—which also allows for owners to exchange their weeks to other affiliated properties all around the world!
So if you’re ready to chase those winter blues away, then get in touch and let’s get started on finding you some fun in the sun here in 2022.
Maui Home Prices Hit a Record High in 2022
Speaking of 2022, and ss we’ve shared in previous blogs, 2021 was a year like no other in real estate— both here on Maui and across the world. 2022 certainly has a lot to live up to—and is off to quite a rousing start!
The latest data for the first month of the year has been released by the REALTORS® Association of Maui and show that the median sales price for single-family homes rose to an all-time high of $1.16 million this past January (for 91 homes being sold), besting the previous high established in June 2021 of $1.105 million. The new record is an 18.4% increase from January of 2021’s median, and the condo market wasn’t far behind: a whopping 155 condos were sold last month at a median sales price of over $707,000
Pretty impressive numbers, to be sure…but what’s perhaps even more impressive is that 38% of all homes and 37% of all condos were sold above their listing price.
