One of the reasons we love living on Maui is for the culture and the music. Hawaii is beautiful with all the rhythms and sounds that resonate with some of the local artists. On any given night, whether you are in Kapalua or Lahaina, you can catch a live show and some of these famous artists in action. And you can do that this Spring with a special Artist 2 Artist show at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
On March 13th, you can catch Henry Kapono & Paula Fuga at the McCoy Studio Theater at 7:30 p.m. And in case you are new to the islands and haven’t heard of these amazing musicians then you are in for a very special treat. For starters, Henry Kapono is an amazing performer. He is known for his ability to do it all, including vocals, guitar, songwriting, composing and stage presence. He has won multiple honors, including a Grammy nomination. He has taken home numerous Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards, including Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album & Rock Album of the Year.
On that day, he will be performing with the equally talented and lovely Paula Fuga. Paula Fuga is best known for her exquisite vocals, powerful lyrics and overall stage presence. She has a large fan base across the world and her songwriting is truly unique. She blends different genres, such as Hawaiian, reggae, and more to make her sweet melodies. This is sure to be a show you won’t want to miss so make sure to book your tickets now.
Tickets are starting off at $35, $45, $65. Those wishing to purchase tickets for all three concerts are eligible for a special series discount; MACC members will receive a 20% discount and nonmembers will receive a 10% discount.
